The Journal of Chemical Manufacturing, Optimization, and Advanced Industry (J-MOAI) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Chemical Engineering Program of the Faculty of Engineering at Bina Sehat Indonesia University. This journal was established as an academic platform for researchers, academics, industry practitioners, and students in the field of chemical engineering and related disciplines to publish research results, literature reviews, and innovative technological developments within the scope of chemical manufacturing processes, production system optimization, and advanced technology industries.

The primary uniqueness of J-MOAI lies in the integration of three key pillars of modern chemical engineering: sustainable chemical manufacturing, process optimization methodologies, and the application of advanced technologies in the industrial sector. The journal also welcomes works that integrate engineering with health-related aspects.

J-MOAI is published biannually. The journal is committed to maintaining scientific quality through a rigorous, anonymous, and transparent peer-review process. Each submitted manuscript will be evaluated based on originality, novelty, and contribution to scientific knowledge and industrial practice

Journal Scope

Articles, research papers, case studies, reviews, or literature reviews are accepted based on the originality of the work. The required page count does not exceed 10 pages or is equivalent to 4,000–5,000 words for research articles. The scope of J-MOAI must be related to the field of Engineering as the journal’s identity. This journal covers, but is not limited to:

  • Integration of Hospital Waste Treatment and Management Processes
  • Medical Biomaterials Engineering
  • Food Production Process Engineering
  • Computational-based multivariable optimization for chemical processes
  • Chemical reaction engineering and catalysis
  • Process simulation, modeling, and optimization
  • Process intensification and green manufacturing
  • Advanced materials for industry
  • Automation and digitalization of chemical plants (Industry 4.0)
  • Energy integration and resource efficiency
  • Process safety and industrial risk management
