About the Journal

J-MOAI is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Chemical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Bina Sehat Indonesia. The journal serves as an academic platform for researchers, academics, industry practitioners, and students in chemical engineering and related disciplines to publish research results, literature reviews, and innovative technological developments in the fields of chemical manufacturing processes, production system optimization, and advanced industries. The main uniqueness of J-MOAI lies in the integration of three key pillars of modern chemical engineering: sustainable chemical manufacturing, process optimization methodologies, and the application of advanced technologies in the industrial sector. The journal also welcomes works that integrate engineering with health aspects. J-MOAI is published biannually (two times per year). The journal is committed to maintaining scientific quality through a rigorous, anonymous, and transparent peer-review process. Each submitted manuscript is evaluated based on originality, novelty, and its contribution to scientific knowledge and industrial practice.

The scope of J-MOAI includes research articles, case studies, and literature reviews, prepared based on the originality of the work. The required length does not exceed 10 pages or the equivalent of 4000–5000 words for research articles. The scope of J-MOAI must be related to the field of engineering as the journal's core identity. The journal covers, but is not limited to, the following topics:

  • Integrated processing and appropriate management of hospital waste
  • Medical biomaterial engineering
  • Food production process engineering
  • Computation-based multivariable optimization for chemical processes
  • Chemical reaction engineering and catalysis
  • Process simulation, modeling, and optimization, process intensification and green manufacturing
  • Advanced materials for industry, automation and digitalization of chemical plants (Industry 4.0)
  • Energy integration and resource efficiency, and process safety and industrial risk management.
