Peer Review Process

J-INSPIRE employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and high scholarly quality. The process is as follows:

  1. Initial Screening – The editorial team checks for scope alignment, plagiarism, and formatting. Papers that pass this stage are assigned to an Associate Editor.

  2. Peer Assignment – At least two independent expert reviewers are selected based on their expertise. Reviewers are blinded to author identities and vice versa.

  3. Review Reports – Reviewers evaluate the manuscript on originality, significance, methodology, clarity, and adherence to ethical standards. They provide one of the following recommendations: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.

  4. Editor Decision – Based on reviewer reports, the Associate Editor makes a decision and communicates it to the author(s) with constructive feedback.

  5. Revision – Authors revise and resubmit within the stipulated time (typically 4 weeks for minor, 8 weeks for major revisions).

  6. Final Decision – The revised manuscript may be sent back to reviewers or accepted directly by the editor. The final decision is communicated within 2–3 weeks after revision.

The total time from submission to first decision is approximately 6–8 weeks. The journal is committed to rapid yet rigorous peer review.
